Like to share your secrets regarding hard-body lures? I am planning to spend more time doing surface fishing the estuaries and bays around the Gold Coast and was looking for some tips on lure choice. Any body out there who would like to get a thread going on their favourite hard body lure? Or any other lure for that matter!
I've found good surface lures for Bream and Whiting around my area here are Cultiva Gobo Poppers in colour 06, which is clear, and I also like the Smith Towadi's, the ones we used in the MiniBucks Bream rounds we fished together. Also, for bigger Bream, Zip' N Ziggy's or any walk the dog action lures.
All comes down to what your chasing and what mood they are in and how to work them. Sometimes you got to work them fast, other times its painstakingly slow.
Look at the new Maria range of surface lures they have a great action and are slaying the bream at the moment. Available from sportys fishing at Bundall. just go in and ask for Tony.
